Device band selection for network compatibility

M2M/Iot devices (modules, modems, routers, etc) and attached antennas must support at least one of the following frequency bands to operate on Spark's mobile network with a M2M One NZ SIM:

3G/WCDMA/UMTS bands
  • 850 MHz / 2100 MHz

3G devices are typically configured to support multiple bands:

  • Dual band (850/2100 MHz)
  • Tri-band (850/900/2100 MHz)
  • Quad-band (850/900/1900/2100 MHz)
  • Penta-band (850/900/1700/1900/2100 MHz)

4G/LTE
bands
  • 4G 1800 MHz (Band 3)
  • 4G 700 MHz (APT Band 28)
